What is the Assam Arohan Scheme 2024?
This is a Flagship Programme Launched by the Chief Minister of Assam Shri Himanta Biswa Sharma to Enhance Career Guidance, Literacy Rate, and employability in the State. It is a Mentor-Mentee Programme for Meritorious Students of Secondary Classes of Government Schools envisioned by the Hon. Himanta Biswa Sharma.
Under the Arohan Scheme, The Talented Students of Class XI and XII will be provided support through Mentoring for career Guidance, Career Progression, exposure, and Incentives either in Cash or Prize. This is the flagship Programme of Assam State to enhance the Standard of Government Schools Students.
The Registration of Students (Mentees) and Mentors will be done by the Government Schools in which Students are Studying, Currently, there are 8664 students registered with the Arohan Scheme of Assam State.

- To enhance the Literacy Rate in the State.
- To Provide Financial Assistance to all the Government School’s Students.
- To Support the Students through the Career Guidance Programme.
- To Support Meritorious Students of Secondary Classes of Government Schools.
Benefits Under the Assam Arohan Scheme
- A Book Grant of Rs. 1,000 will be given to all the Students who are Selected in the Arohan Programme.
- The Grant amount will be transferred to the Beneficiaries Bank account with DBT mode.
- Students of Class XI and XII get interactive Sessions with Prominent persons in the State like IAS, SP, and DC.
- Students get Career Guidance and exposure to Various Fields.

Assam Arohan Scheme Eligibility
- Applicant Should be Permanent Resident of Assam.
- Students should be Registered in the Government Schools of Assam.
- Students should be Studying in Secondary Classes in Government Schools.
- Tea Garden model Schools, Adarsha Vidyalayas, and Kasturba Schools are Eligible to Register in the Programme.
Assam Arohan Scheme Mentor Registration
Mentors of the Arohan Programme are Senior Government Officials both Serving and Retired, Alumni of Schools, Teachers of Schools, Students having a PG degree or Above, and Successful Entrepreneurs in the State. There are a total of 9756 Currently Registered in the Arohan Scheme which includes Teachers, Principals, Professors of College, IAS and ACS Officers, Government Employees, and Other Officials and Businessmen.

Assam Arohan Mentee Registration
- Registration of Meritorious Students can be done through the Schools.
- Schools will log in to the Portal by entering the Login Credentials.
- They will enter the Details of Students who have Scored Good Marks in the Last Academic Class.
- After the Successful Filling of the Form, the verification will be conducted and then the mentee will be Selected for the Arohan Programme Assam.
