Assam Abhinandan 2.0 Loan Scheme 2024

The Chief Minister of Assam, Shri Himanta Biswa Sharma, has decided to Launch the Assam Abhinandan Education Loan Subsidy Scheme 2.0 for Students Pursuing higher education courses.  the state government will provide subsidy to the family of those students who have taken an education loan of more than Rs 1 lakh. Students getting an education on an education loan can subscribe to this scheme online. 

Assam Abhinandan 2.0 Loan Scheme aims to provide a loan subsidy of up to Rs 50,000 on education loans to students pursuing higher education from good institutions. The Abhinandan Education Loan Subsidy Scheme has been started with the Housing Scheme. Under this scheme, the Government of Assam will provide a one-time subsidy on loans to all students pursuing higher education on education loans. Under the Abhinandan Scheme all major banks, all commercial banks such as  Federal Bank and HDFC are included. Online Portal for the Scheme will be Launched on 5 September 2024 on the Occasion of Teachers Day. 

Objectives and Benefits of the Assam Abhinandan 2.0 Loan Scheme

• A subsidy of Rs 1,00,000 will be provided to students by the Government of Assam on education loans up to Rs 2 lakh.
• In Assam Abhinandan 2.0 Loan Scheme, all the applicant students can apply for the subsidy by paying 25% of their loans.
• Under the Abhinandan 2.0 Scheme, the subsidy can be obtained only on loans taken from commercial banks like Federal Bank and HDFC and regional rural banks like Assam Rural Regional Bank.
• In this scheme, all students have to get financial help by encouraging students on education loans.

Key Highlights

Assam Abhinandan 2.0 Loan Scheme Eligibility 

• The student must be a permanent resident of the state of Assam.
• Loan should have availed between 01-Apr-2020 and 31-03-2024
• The benefit of this scheme can be availed only as a subsidy on education loans.
• The student’s parents must have an education loan of more than Rs 2 lakh.
• The student must have taken a loan from a commercial or rural bank, otherwise, he cannot avail of the benefit of the scheme.
• The bank has been recognized by the Reserve Bank of India.
• Any Loan Amount that has been declared as a Non-Performing Asset will not be eligible for the Scheme.
• Children of Sitting MP/MLA will not be covered under this Scheme.

• Visit the Official website of the dids.assam.gov.in Portal
• Search For Abhinandan 2.0 Scheme After Clicking Continue As Guest.
• Check for Eligibility of the Scheme and Answer the Questions.
• Click on the Apply Online Button to Apply for the Scheme.
• Enter Your Details Like student name, Mobile Number, e-mail ID, etc.
• Upload all the Required Documents Like Aadhar Card, Bank Passbook, and Other Relevant Documents.
• Click on the Submit Button to Complete Your Application Form.
• After Successful Registration, You will receive the Confirmation Message.
