Assam Apun Bahan Scheme 2024

Chief Minister of Assam Shri Himanta Biswa Sharma has launched the Apun Bahan Scheme with an objective to provide financial Help to all the Permanent State Government Employees. The Apun Bahan Scheme is Aiming to ease the access to Motor Vehicle Loans for Purchase of Motor Vehicle for the family. The Government under Apum Bahan Scheme shall provide interest Subvention against the Car Loan from Scheduled Commercial Banks, Regional Rural Banks and Assam Cooperative Banks Recognised by the Reserve Bank of India. 

The Assam Government will Provide Interest Subvention for the Purchase of Car by the Permanent State Employees. Male Employees will get Interest Subsidy of 2% for Purchasing Diesel/Petrol Cars while 3% Interest Subsidy will be Given when Electric Vehicle is purchased by the Male Employees.

Women and Divyangjan Employees will get 3% Interest Subsidy On purchasing any kind of Vehicle either Diesel/Petrol or Electric. Maximum Loan of 15 lakh or 48 times of Monthly Salary which is lower will be Provided to the Employees.

  • To Provide Interest Subvention of 2% against Purchase of Diesel or Petrol Car and 3% against Purchase of Electric Vehicle for Male Employees.
  • To Provide Interest Subsidy of 3% to Females and Differently Abled Employees for Purchasing any kind of Vehicle. 

Loan under the Apun Bahan Scheme 

The Loans will be Provided by the Banks as the Term Loans and the Loans will be Provided to Purchase two wheeler and four Wheeler Vehicle. Three wheeler vehicles will not be Included under this Scheme. The Maximum Loan Amount will be either 48 times the net Monthly income or 15 lakh Rupees, whichever is lower. The Bank will finance 80-90% of the on road price of the vehicle. The interest will be released by Crediting it to the Salary Accounts of the Employees.

Guidelines of Assam Apun Bahan Scheme 2024

  • The Repayment Loan of auto loan will be for a tenure of Minimum of 3 years and maximum of 7 years. 
  • The Repayment will be fixed Based on Equated Monthly Instalments.
  • Vehicle Purchase should be Registered in the name of the Employee and Cannot use for Commercial Purpose. 
  • The Scheme is Designed for only one Vehicle per Employee.
  • Self Declaration by the Employee that no other vehicle under the Same Scheme has been purchased by hum.
  • A copy of the Vehicle Registration should be submitted to the Branch for Record-Keeping. 

Assam Apun Bahan Scheme Eligibility Criteria 

  • The Applicant must be Permanent State Employees.
  • The net Annual income must be at least 3 lakh Rupees or above.
  • Applicant’s age must be between 21 years and 53 years. 
  • Three wheeler Vehicle Loans are not eligible under this Scheme.
  • Only two wheeler and Four Wheeler Purchase loan are Eligible under Apun bahan Scheme.
  • Loan will be given for the maximum tenure of 7 Years.

Apun Bahan Scheme Application Form

  • Apun Bahan Scheme Application Form can be Obtained from the Respective Banks.
  • Fill the Application Form with all the Personal Details like Name, Department and Bank Account Statement.
  • Fill the Complete Details of Your Address. 
  • Application Form will be Submitted by the Employees though their DDOs with Complete Set of Document as Per Checklist given in the Application Form.
  • Scrutiny will be done by the Concerned Bank and Bank Team will Accord Final Sanction Based on the Proposal.
