Assam Government Has announced Special Casual Leaves to all the State Government Employees of the State to Spend their time with Parents. This Initiative has been taken in the Name of Matri Pitri Vandana which means care of the Parents.
Assam Government is Pleased to allow the State Government Employees to avail of Special Casual Leaves under the Matri Pitri Vandana Scheme On 6th November 2024 and 8th November 2024 Along with 7th November 2024 (Chhat Puja), 9th November 2024 (2nd Saturday), and 10th November 2024 (Sunday).
All State Government Employees, MLAs, and Teachers may Apply Through the Matri Pitri Vandana Portal. We have given the complete information Related to this Scheme below, Kindly Follow the Article to get Special Casual Leaves.
Matri Pitri Vandana Assam Special Leave Details
The State Employees will get Total Leaves of 5 Days from 6th November 2024 to 10th November 2024. However, Employees will have to take Leave of Two Days 6th November and 8th November.

Special Leave Application for Matri Pitri Vandana
To Apply for Special Leave Application under Matri Pitri Vandana, the Applicant will have to follow the below Steps:-
- Visit the Matri Pitri Vandana Portal.
- Click on the Register Button Given on the Homepage.
- Now you will have to Provide Personal Details Like First Name, Mobile Number, etc.
- Upload Your Passport Size Photo and Identity Card Issued by the Department.
- Apply for the Leave Dates Given in the Portal.
- After Successful Filling of the Form, Submit the Application.
- Get Approved by the Department for Leaves and Spend time with your Parents.
- Upload the Selfie with Your Parents in order to Be Part of the Initiative.

Can I correct it please?
Since dibrugarh University doesn’t have Chaath Puja as a recognised leave in the holiday list issued in 2024, and there is no 2nd Saturday leave scheme in the colleges under Dibrugarh University, therefore how can someone avail this matri pitri Vandana scheme as they have to apply for another two casual leaves which are futile. I request the government to look in to matter urgently.
Can teachers be denied from availing the leave? I’ve asked already once before, we are facing troubles in this matter. So please do reply.
